General Conditions

IN THE SALT acts only as the booking agent for outfitters, guides and lodges and any other service providers in connection with the customer’s trip. IN THE SALT is not providing any services itself, and has no fiduciary interest or control over the actions of these entities.


When booking a trip WITHIN THE SALT, you are entering into a professional relationship and agreement. Please read these term and conditions carefully, by booking a hunt or fishing trip or remitting a deposit and thereby entering a contract, indicates that the client(s) has read and accepted the deposit, and cancellation, refund, and responsibility clauses for this trip. Also, the client(s) agrees on his own behalf and on the behalf of any personal representative, not to sue IN THE SALT, for all claims for damages in contract, tort, or otherwise, including but not limited to personal injury and financial loss arising from the negligence or other acts or omissions of any service provider utilized during the client’s trip.


The client is hereby expressly limiting any liability for damages stemming from any negligent acts or omissions by IN THE SALT to the portion of the fees paid for the trip, which represents the fees of IN THE SALT exclusive of the fees of the service providers. Any loss or damage to luggage, baggage, equipment or other items is the sole responsibility of the client(s).


The cost of all accommodations and transportation for before or after the trip, caused by inclement weather, over booking, cancellation, flight delays or any other occurrence beyond the control of IN THE SALT and not included in the booking is the responsibility of the client(s) or any service provider, cancel or change  schedule for any reason IN THE SALT shall not be responsible for the return of any depositor payment due.


A 50% non-refundable deposit is required and due within 10 days of booking to confirm all reservations. The final balance is due 60 days before the start of the scheduled trip and is non-refundable. ALL HUNTING AND FISHING TRIPS AND EXCURSIONS DEPOSIT AND PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.


All trip cancellations must be made in writing to IN THE SALT. Upon cancellation, payments will be forfeited, and no refund will be issued.  No refunds or credits are issued due to any medical, family, business emergencies, or other unexpected events.


For cancelations/ Rescheduling under 90 days no refund of deposit or payments will be issued. Unless rebooked for the same dates with other client(s) if applicable. For cancellations outside of 90 days from the start of a scheduled trip, deposits and any payments made may be transferred to another date within 12 months of the originally scheduled trip. Credits issued for future trips must be used within one year of the original booked trip date. Credits unused after one year will be forfeited.

Payment

A 50% deposit is required to finalize your trip and reservation and is due within 10 days of booking your trip. We will invoice you by email, and upon receiving your invoice, you can choose to pay using the online ACH payment, check or wire transfer. Payment reminders will be sent by email for open invoices with a remaining balance due, which can be paid using the ACH option.


Deposits and final payments can be made with bank wire transfers, ACH Payments All fees are the responsibility of the client(s) checks payable to IN THE SALT. Please contact me if you prefer cash or other forms of payment.


Payment Options

  • ACH PAYMENTS: US financial institutions and bank accounts only
  • PERSONAL & BUSINESS CHECKS: US financial institutions and banks only
  • ELECTRONIC WIRE PAYMENTS: US financial institutions and bank accounts only; a $50.00 fee will apply to all international wire transfer to an outfitter booked over sea by client(s) WIRING FEES ARE THE RESPONSIBILTY OF THE CLIENT.
  • CASH 


Client will be billed all associated costs for returned checks. The client will have 7 days to reimburse IN THE SALT for returned check costs and provide alternative form of payment, otherwise the trip will be cancelled, and all deposits and payments will be forfeited.

Trip Insurance

We highly recommend trip insurance as these trips are expensive, and much is at stake financially. Unforeseen circumstances arise, and travel insurance is very reasonable should you have to cancel your trip.  We recommend TRAVEL GUARD TRAVEL INSURANCE to protect your financial investment. To receive complete coverage options and benefits, be sure to consult and purchase your travel insurance

within 15 days of paying your deposit.

Medical Evacuation Insurance

We highly recommend Global Rescue’s worldwide medical evacuation insurance and extraction services if you become ill or injured during your trip or other natural disasters.

Agreement

The client(s), by making a reservation on a hunting and fishing trip, acknowledges that the client(s) has voluntarily read, acknowledged and agreed fully to our TERMS AND CONDITIONS and all responsibility clauses. Client(s) further agrees that no oral representations, statements or other warranties exclusive of those contained in this document have been made to the client(s). The terms under which you agree to take these trips cannot be changed or amended except in writing to IN THE SALT.
